Cheyenne: Chute Fighting

In addition to other torments, shocking horses while they are in the chutes is common at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. When a horse or bull attempts to get away from the horrors, rodeo calls this "chute fighting." These horses are doing their best to escape the trauma they have come to know at a rodeo. Every sponsor should "buck off" their rodeo support!

The man in the black hat on the right is concealing a Hot-Shot in his right hand. This is Chad Burch, who has been documented in 2005 and 2006 shocking horses at Cheyenne, but not fined or disciplined.
This horse knows and dreads what Burch will do with a Hot-Shot.
As the horse leaves the chute, the Hot-Shot is clearly visible in Burch's right hand.
Another victim for Burch to shock.
These horses are not "Born to Buck"--they are abused and tormented.
