Illinois' State Attorneys: Blind Eye to AbuseIllinois is called the "Land of Lincoln." But "Honest Abe" would likely roll over in his grave if he saw the corruption that exists in parts of his home state. A state's attorney - called a district attorney in many other states - is the top law enforcement official in an Illinois county. Each county's state's attorney prosecutes lawbreakers in court. Unfortunately, some state's attorneys choose to ignore their duties as unbiased upholders of justice. Instead, these individuals choose to serve special interests. They may prosecute people whom they know to be innocent if it serves their whim, or they may ignore lawbreakers with the right "connections." This website shines light on the actions of certain Illinois state's attorneys whose track records are highly suspect when it comes to animal abuse. Whether you care about animals or not, you may want to keep these individuals in mind if you live, work, and most importantly, vote in the counties where they hold office. We have also included their contact information should you wish to send them your thoughts. |
