In 2011 SHARK's cameras documented the Reno Rodeo shocking horses with 5,000 volts of painful electricity to make then appear wild. You can see the video below. The rodeo promised to make changes for the next year.
In 2012 SHARK returned to the Reno Rodeo and and again documented them shocking horses to perform. The only change they made was to try and do it secretly now. The rodeo thugs had hidden a shocking device inside a glove and were shocking horses, some right in the face, with their hidden torture device that the manufacturer says shouldn't be used in a rodeo setting and NEVER on horses. Video below.
In 2013 Reno shocked a horse in the anus and the Reno Rodeo cowards banned all cameras. Instead of actually stopping the abuse, they just tried to stop the documenting of the abuse. Look at the photo below and read all the negative media reports to see how that worked out for them.
The Reno-Gazette Journal has just published an article on the Reno Rodeo's camera ban. This ban was inspired by SHARK's video-documentation of animals being abused and injured, horses being electro-shocked at the 2011 and 2012 Reno Rodeos. Click here to read the article.
You can read another editorial here explaining why a newspaper columnist won't be returning to the Reno Rodeo because of the camera ban.
The Reno Rodeo Association is grasping at straws to defend their ban, including bringing up the Boston Bombing as a reason why they will search everyone and ban filming. This is nonsensical as it was because people were filming that the bombers were caught. Using the victims of terrorism to hide their animal abuse demonstrates the corruption and cowardice of the rodeo mafia.
