April 11, 2019

DEAR FRIENDS,

In our last update we told you that Gander Outdoors and Gander RV were going to sponsor a canned pheasant hunt at the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club (MHHC). We called on Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis to withdraw the Gander sponsorships (Camping World is Gander's parent company) although we made numerous attempts to reach him through email, social media and a public video, Lemonis never responded and Gander proceeded to sponsor the slaughter.

SHARK was at the MHHC for the four-day killing contest that began on March 28th, with multiple drone teams capturing the disgusting horrors that unfolded.

Watch our new video HERE

As you will see in the video, this innocent bird was violently beaten by this thug

The Gander slaughter showed the depth of depravity that exists in those who love to kill animals. The cage-raised pheasants, were planted in brush and had their heads shaken. This was to disorient them so they would be even easier targets for the slob shooters who would pick them up, throw them and shoot them at point-blank range, as you can see in the picture below.

If Lemonis thought he could ignore SHARK he was wrong; we have much more video to release to the public that will expose him and his companies for the shameful cruelty committed in their names.

Please politely contact Marcus Lemonis and tell him you won't patronize any of his businesses as long as he sponsors vicious animal cruelty:

This campaign, like so many others SHARK has undertaken, shows how vital our drones are to exposing animal cruelty. It is a fantastic tool to get in where other cameras cannot and capture the truth of what violence and depravity animals face.

That we are expanding our drone fleet and with new pilots means that we will be able to take on even more campaigns, but we cannot do this without your generous financial support. If you like the fact that no one does what SHARK does, then please consider making a donation today.

Please politely contact Verizon to complain that they suspended a worker who rescued a cat:

A Verizon worker considered a hero by a Philadelphia neighborhood for taking quick action to rescue a cat has been suspended by the company for violating safety protocol.

In a story about a North Carolina man who was charged with animal cruelty for abandoning his pet fish, Sheriff's Office Lt. Jerry Brewer said it's the county's first animal cruelty case involving a pet fish, but this "is a life like any dog or cat." However, the District Attorney has now dropped the charges.

Please contact the Assistant to the DA, Samantha M. Dooies, and politely ask that charges be reinstated: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
