SHARK documents the horror, violence, and death 2012 Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo.

SHARK has arrived in Cheyenne, Wyoming, for the 2012 Cheyenne Frontier Days (CFD) Rodeo. We will be here for the next two weeks documenting the horror, violence, and death that is part and parcel of this brutal rodeo. SHARK will bear witness and document as CFD continues to maim and kill animals in a cruel and predictable manner. Animals will die over the next two weeks for 'entertainment.' We know it, the sponsors know it, and CFD knows it. Animals are literally dying to help greedy corporations sell more sugar water and to entertain the drunk and/or dumb-witted fans.

Below are just some of the abuses that SHARK's cameras documented:

Cruel Cheyenne Wild Horse Race, 2012

Back-to-back steers are injured at the infamously cruel Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The injuries occur during the violent steer tripping event. One steer's leg is clearly broken.

A calf's leg is broken at the 2012 Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. As usual, the contestant does not stop in spite of the audible snap of the leg. Also as usual, the announcer paints a rosy picture for the audience, when in fact the calf is as good as dead already.

Below are three videos from just the first day of the rodeo, Wednesday, July 18, two calves and three steers were so badly injured that they had to be carted away from the arena. There were more injuries as well.

This steer was the fifth victim of the day to be carted away. This animal had his right rear leg broken, and the break was clearly audible across the arena. Riders responded, but were kept away by the timed event judge, who chooses to allow the victim to suffer long enough for the contestant to get a score.
