In the wake of Poison drummer Rikki Rockett's comments last week about his views that rodeos include cruelty to animals, the group Rockett supports came to the Stampede Saturday to support him.

Four members of the Geneva, Ill.-based SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness handed out fliers outside the entrance to Island Grove Park. SHARK President Steve Hindi said the group handed out fliers to educate people about its views of rodeo and to support Rockett. Stampede spokesman Justin Watada declined to comment about the Rockett controversy.
