In the summer of 2017, SHARK traveled to Canada to film 20 rodeo events in Montreal and St-Tite in Quebec. The evidence collected was the basis for a major report written by Law Professor Alain Roy of the Université de Montréal that concluded rodeos are illegal in Québec under the new Animal Welfare and Safety Act. The report has been submitted to the Rodeo Advisory Committee created in August 2017 by the Québec Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. You can read the massive damning 610 page report and other documents HERE.
A critical element to analysing the video was the expertise of Dr. Jean-Jacques Kona-Boun, DMV, MSc, DACVAA, veterinarian and anesthesiologist who helped document and review the video database of 20 full rodeos, recorded in Montreal and St-Tite.
You can read Professor Roy’s full press release HERE. In his report, Professor Roy thanks SHARK for our work:
"I also express my deep appreciation to Mr. Steve Hindi and Mr. Michael Kobliska of Showing Animals Respect and Kindness (SHARK), who volunteered to come from Chicago to observe and film all the rodeo trials in the Montréal and St-Tite...Their expertise allowed us to collect extremely detailed data of undeniable quality.”
We at SHARK believe it is important to use our expertise with filming and technology to help others in the struggle to save animals lives. We are glad to be a part of the effort showing that rodeos are illegal in Québec under the new Animal Welfare and Safety Act.
SHARK is the pre-eminent animal protection organization fighting against rodeos in the world. We document dozens of rodeos every year and have collected almost three decades of shocking video proving that animals are routinely injured and killed in rodeos nationwide. Our rodeo videos have received tens of millions of views on our YouTube channel.

Victory! SHARK is very pleased to announce that our campaign to stop live pigeon shoots held by the Alabama Forestry Association has been a success, and that they will no longer hold such cruel events. This is an important victory that will save untold thousands of lives! • We want to sincerely thank Georgia-Pacific for investigating this issue and taking action.
On March 1, 2018 SHARK documented a cruel live pigeon shoot which was hosted by the Alabama Forestry Association (AFA) outside of Mobile, AL. Using our camera-equipped drone, we legally filmed the cruelty as hundreds of birds were thrown into the air and shot for fun.
After the shoot ended, SHARK activists went to the area used for the shoot and rescued twenty-six pigeons that were wounded and left to die.
Due to the severity of their wounds, 22 birds died or were humanely euthanized, with four survivors remaining. We must note that the birds were extremely thin and malnourished, meaning they hadn’t been fed for days before the shoot. That is an added factor of cruelty to an already barbaric event.
SHARK again exposes Alex Pacheco for scamming good-hearted people with his fictitious cookie that he claims will sterilize stray dogs. SHARK president Steve Hindi offers Pacheco $10,000 to prove he really has a project to develop such a product.
AS OF JANUARY 29, 2018, MR. PACHECO HAS NOT RESPONDED TO STEVE'S OFFER. For more information about animal scams, please go to CharityCops.com Not everyone dealing with pet over population or animal causes generally are scammers.

"Schrader's Outdoors" - Sounds like a real outdoorsy place, doesn't it? But if you're looking for a place to commune with nature, forget about it.
On January 14, 2018, Schrader's Outdoors held a cruel, cowardly live pigeon shoot, wherein pigeons are tossed out of traps and shot at close range by bloodthirsty thugs.
A SHARK investigator went to Schrader's the following day to film the aftermath of the slaughter. Things got really interesting when the investigator encountered a shotgun-wielding Schrader's employee who spilled the beans about Schrader's cruelty.
