CruelCelebrities.comThe purpose of CruelCelebrities.com is to "out" unethical and hypocritical celebrities that are fraudulently masquerading as compassionate, morally-bound people. Popular entertainers spend large amounts of money on public relations and publicity agents. Their propaganda promotes them as caring, socially-conscious, ethical people, when in fact these Cruel Celebrities are promoting, supporting, and even sponsoring indefensible animal cruelty and an industry pervaded by criminal activities. Please speak up for the animals and tell these entertainers that as long as they continue to support animal abuse, financially or any other way, that you will not buy their albums, tickets to their concerts, watch their shows, or spend your money or time supporting them in any way. Cruel Celebrities have no moral compass of their own, but instead blow with the public wind, and they can't help but listen if fans are loud enough. Urge these celebrities to look at the VIDEOS and PHOTOS from SHARK's investigations and remind them that no one should want to be aligned with this sort of pointless and appalling cruelty. In July 2007 the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo, one of the cruelest rodeos in the world, once again brutalized, maimed and dragged many animals to certain death in the name of mindless "entertainment". In an effort to bring a wider audience in to the rodeo, CFD booked Def Leppard-especially surprising because the rock group has vegetarian members, one of whom even made a PSA for an animal advocacy organization. Click here to contact Def Leppard about this tangle of hypocrisy and abuse.
For a segment that aired in May 2008, Matt Lauer joined in with the so-called bullfighters at the Houston Rodeo. The Today Show's "dangerous jobs" segment played more like a piece of engineered rodeo propaganda than journalism of any kind.
On March 9, 2008, Miley Cyrus played to a sold out crowd of 73,459 people in Houston, Texas. Unfortunately a concert is not the only thing that took place that afternoon. Before Miley Cyrus took the stage, baby animals were clotheslined and slammed to the ground as part of the "family entertaiment".
We were mighty surprised when Oprah Winfrey used a segment of her show to glorify rodeos. What an irony! Oprah overcame both racial and gender challenges to become an enormously successful person, and she did it by creating an image of being credible and caring.
"It's time for the cowboys to stand up for the horses." So says Willie Nelson, but then why is he supporting the rodeo industry that helps to supply the slaughterhouses with used up and broken down horses?
Larry the Cable Guy (real name Daniel Lawrence Whitney) has put together quite a career of telling classless jokes about defecation, flatulation and other lowbrow or socially questionable subjects. Hey, everyone has a calling, and this one has done pretty well for Daniel Lawrence. Unfortunately, the reality of Danny is that he loves animal abuse.
Long-time vegetarian advocate and PETA issue-promoter, k. d. lang, has inexplicably lent her vocal talents to support rodeo animal abuse.
