Kropp : Tradition still appalls

Through the years, I have accumulated and archived information about animal cruelty.
In the case I am about to describe, reference information was originally given to me in 1983 by an older gentleman whose wife had recently passed away. Before she died, she asked him to share with me a box of newspaper clippings regarding the shooting of pigeons. She believed it would be of great interest to me and, no doubt, it was.
I had never met this couple, so I was guarded in arranging the meeting. However, I'm always interested in information on animals. During our meeting, I was intent on listening to what this man had to say. The box he brought contained newspaper clippings about the shooting of pigeons in Pennsylvania, his wife's birthplace.
Even though much time has passed since I obtained this information, this cruelty has not stopped. The cruelty I speak of is the "sport" killing of these birds at a resort.
