June 3, 2019

DEAR FRIENDS,

SHARK is exposing both the Girl Scouts of Central and Southern NJ and Girl Scouts USA for their support for the NJ based Cowtown rodeo, which plans to hold a Girl Scout night on June 15th 2019.

Watch our new video, which exposes Cowtown's shocking history of racism, HERE.

SHARK has recently discovered video from 1975 showing current Cowtown owner Grant Harris with two rodeo clowns wearing racist blackface at the rodeo. Please watch the video for the full story

SHARK and the NJ Animal Save Movement will be holding a protest on Saturday, June 15th.

• Protest at the Cowtown Rodeo for Girl Scout night at the rodeo. 6:00- 8:00PM
780 Harding Hwy, Pilesgrove, NJ 08098

We tried to work with the Girl Scouts privately before we released our first video, and once again before we released our new video, which shows Cowtown's history of racism. We gave the Girl Scouts fair warning of it and offered to meet with them privately before releasing it. They chose not to. The Girl Scout leadership has dishonored their organization's legacy and betrayed the girls who belong to it.

Please continue to respectfully contact both Girl Scout organizations:

Cowtown brutalizes animals, such as calves, who are just babies. The Girl Scouts should be ashamed of themselves for supporting this

We at SHARK are working every day to fight for animals - now we need your help. Our funds are running dangerously low. A number of investigative efforts have already been cancelled, or are on hold because we simply don't have sufficient funds. Please consider making a generous donation now to keep SHARK going strong for the animals!

From May 17-19th, SHARK investigators filmed animal cruelty at the notorious Rowell Ranch Rodeo. In order to get around the ban on filming at the rodeo, that was initiated by the governing body, the Hayward Area Recreation & Park District, we used a mixture of undercover cameras and a drone to capture horses and cows being abused.

Watch the new video HERE

From the video - a horse hit a wall hard and then hit the ground

Please politely contact the Hayward Area Recreation & Park District and the Rowell Ranch Rodeo and let them know their cruelty is being exposed:
