DILLON – A Lima woman charged with embezzling money from the Montana High School Rodeo Association is now facing more charges.

Dillon Police Chief Don Guiberson said 53-year-old Alesia “Lisa” Lappe is now accused of embezzling $21,000 from the Beaverhead County High School Rodeo Association. She was arrested Tuesday on the new charge and remains jailed in Dillon on $21,000 bond.

Lappe was charged earlier this month with felony embezzlement in connection with stealing $38,000 from the state rodeo association. Court documents state Lappe was working as the secretary for the rodeo association when the money was embezzled between March and December of last year. She was not arrested in this case and given a notice to appear in court.
